Much Like him, Mr. Ravindran Veliyambara’s humble and modest background helped him keep his feet on the ground and head held high. Growing up in an authentic weaving family in Kerala India Mr. Ravindran Veliyambara started weaving to support his family at the age of 12. The constant strive for improvement helped him to set up Home furnishings exports -Cannonore home furnishings at the mere age of 18 years of age. As the project progressed expanded over a period of 10 years, it led to setting up multiple manufacturing units in Kannur, Kerala with product presence in Europe, Australia, GCC nations Japan and USA. Keeping in mind the necessity of horizontal expansion, lifestyle garment was set up with the manufacturing unit spanning across the south of India.
In the peak of success, he marked his territory in the service and hospitality industry envisioning the need and the requirement from Kannur International Airport and the lack of premium hospitality partners in Kannur India. This led to launching our 4-star Business and leisure hotel-Hotel Blue Nile, SN Park Road, Kannur, Kerala. Often taking different roles Mr. Ravindran Veliyambara is also a founding member and treasurer of Solace old-age home for the first 10 years.
Within these unconventional and challenging spanning decades, Mr. Ravindran has received various awards and accreditors. He is proud recepient of the first Outstanding Industrialist award 2003 from North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, one of the 12 selected members for the Indian Trade Promotion Organization under guidance of union Governments to promote handloom productsin UK and Germany for an official delegation campaign in 2003, MTVA award for business achievement in 2010, Kannur Rajan Puraskaram for achievements in the hospitality and Tourism 2012 and Kala kairali puraskaram for achievements in hospitality and tourism. Best hostel to stay in kannur. All the amenities are available their. It is the only hotel which provides different types of amenities such as swimming, gym, spa, & many more. Rooms are also high class. Also the main tourist places are near the hotel so it is also convenient to visit the places. But the problem is generally it is fully booked because it has contract with airlines that's why rarely we get the room from the counter. So if anyone wants to visit Kannur then definitely stay their and pre-booked it so that you get the rooms if available otherwise it is hardly possible to get the room.
